Jakub Pokrzywniak graduated from the law school of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan in 2000. He defended his Ph.D. thesis on civil law in 2004 and was awarded the title of LL.D. He has been a senior lecturer (adiunkt) at this university since 2005.
Jakub Pokrzywniak is a legal counsel and specializes inter alia in energy law. He is of-counsel at WKB Wierciński Kwieciński Baehr law firm, based in Warsaw.
Among other things, his energy law experience includes contract drafting, tariff consultancy, contract negotiations between energy undertakings, as well as representation of clients in administrative and court disputes regarding grid connection, penalties imposed by energy regulator or competition authority and tariff approval. He was actively involved in many legislative works on the energy law regulations.
He has authored or co-authored three books and two guides, and his total academic record includes several dozen publications.
