Andrew concluded his LL.M studies in Public International Law at Queen Mary, University of London (QMUL) in 2012 with a strong focus on the legal aspects of inter-state economic relations, chiefly in connection to energy (including its investment, trade and security-related aspects).
Between 2012 and 2014, Andrew had been a Research Fellow at QMUL during which time he co-authored several scholarly papers and the book International Energy Governance: Selected Inter-state Legal Issues (Edward Elgar 2014).
He has since been involved in freelance legal research and proof-editing work in relation to various international law matters, and has periodically presented lectures on the law of treaties to LL.M students at QMUL, and on the Energy Charter Treaty and investment protection to LL.M students at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
His main research interests lie in State responsibility, the law of treaties, and in critical approaches to international law.
Prior to 2012, he had been involved in civil and family justice policy work at the United Kingdom's Ministry of Justice.
