Ngozi Chinwa Ole is an award-winning international energy law consultant, thought leader and associate professor of energy law with a triad background in law practice, academia and public advocacy. She heads the energy and natural resources team of Alliance Law Firm, Nigeria. Ngozi is an International Certified Energy Negotiator representing clients' interests in multiple facets of energy transactions, including commercial, legal, and technical ones. As an energy law consultant, she has advised and represented clients in various contexts to the extent that has earned her several accolades including Women in Energy, Oil and Gas (WEOG) Energy Sheroes Award 2024; LIFIN National Award on Oil and Gas Law Practice 2025; Lexology Influencer Award 2023, Mondaq Thought Leadership Award on Environmental Law 2024, Guardian Newspaper recognition as one of the 25 Exceptional and Most Value Adding Female Professional in Nigeria 2024; Vanguard Newspaper recognition as Guardian Newspaper Recognition as Nigeria’s Exceptional and Most Value-Adding Female Professional 2024; Mondaq Thought Leadership on Environmental Law 2025 e.t.c.

Ngozi is currently the Dean of Law in an NUC/CLE Accredited Faculty of Law in Nigeria. Prior, she was the Acting Head, Department of Public Law and Director, Law Clinic, FUOYE. As the Director of FUOYE Law Clinic, she coordinated the provision of free legal services by law students to some communities in Ekiti State. Ngozi was and is currently affiliated with various research bodies in the world. She is a member of the African Centre of Excellence for Water and Environmental Research (ACEWATER) at Redeemers University, Nigeria. She heads the Environment and Water Regulation Unit of ACEWATER. She was an associate member of the Aberdeen University Centre for Energy Law (AUCEL) and the Environmental Rights in Cultural Context Group of the Max Planck Institute, Halle. Ngozi is a member of the International Energy Law Training and Research Centre, Trinidad and Tobago. She was a UNESCO Groundwater Youth Ambassador. Ngozi holds an LLM in petroleum law and a PhD in energy and environmental law from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.

Ngozi holds an executive certificate in CNG and Gas from the University of Calgary, Canada. Before the latter, she obtained a first-class degree in law with several academic awards, including the Gani Fawehimi Endowment Award for Best Graduating Law Students in Nigeria. She was also the best graduating student in the Bar part 11 exams for the Augustine Nnamani Nigerian Law School 2012 campus. She is a recipient of several awards and grants, including the Association of International Energy Negotiators 2018 Conference Scholarship Award, Recognition of Excellence in Service as the President of the University of Aberdeen AIEN Club, International Ambassador of Peace Award, e.t.c. Ngozi is involved in various charities and advocacy work.

She is a member of the Board of Directors, Network of University Legal Aid Institutions (NULAI). Ngozi is the Chairperson of the Academia and STEM Committee of Women in Energy, Oil and Gas (WEOG). In the latter capacity, she oversees the activities of WEOG, which is geared towards boosting the interest of young females in STEM education. Ngozi is currently the National Organising Secretary of the Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria (AELN). She has about sixty scholarly and twenty non-scholarly publications to her credit. These publications feature in top-tier international platforms, including Oxford University Press, Elsevier, Thomson Reuters, Edward Elgar, Northumbria University Press, Springer Nature, Mondaq, and Lexology. Ngozi was the lead editor for the book, ‘Off-Grid Renewable Electricity Regulatory Support’, published by Taylor and Francis in 2023. Dr Ngozi is/was a member of the editorial team of several international and national journals, including the Journal of Sustainable Development Law and Policy; Kampala International University Law Journal, e.t.c.
