Stephen Oluwaṣeun Ọkẹ is a legal practitioner in the Energy and Natural Resources practice group of Banwo & Ighodalo, a leading commercial law firm in Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an associate in the Power and Infrastructure team at Ikeyi & Arifayan. He is an NLNG-British Council Scholar (2015) and an alumnus of the International Lawyers for Africa (ILFA) Flagship Secondment Programme (2018), during which he worked in the Energy, Mining and Infrastructure team at the London office of Baker & McKenzie LLP.
Stephen advises both private and public sector clients on a broad range of legal transactions relating to the development and financing of independent power projects and the structuring of investments and transactions in the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the Nigerian oil and gas industry.
He holds a LL.B from Babcock University, and a LL.M from the University of Cambridge.
