Mariavittoria Zaccaria

Mariavittoria Zaccaria holds a PhD in European Union Law and National Legal Systems from the University of Ferrara (IT). Her thesis is entitled "The difficult relationship between energy and environment: a EU constitutional analysis. Renewable energy as a case study". She graduated cum laude from the University of Padova (IT) and obtained a LLM in EU law from King's College London (UK). She is a former visiting PhD researcher at KU Leuven (BE). She has extensively researched on EU energy law and in particular the renewable energy framework. In the past, her researches have focused on state aid and renewable energy. During her PhD she focused on the EU constitutional framework for energy policy and, in particular, the relationship between Articles 192 and 194 TFEU in the regulation of renewable energy.
