Jacqueline Barboza Mariano

Jacqueline Barboza Mariano is a Chemical Engineer and holds a D.Sc. degree in Energy Planning. She is a professional with more than twenty years of experience in the energy sector, with expertise in the oil and natural gas industry. She served the Brazilian Regulation Authority for the petroleum and biofuels sectors (ANP) for twelve years and took part of the Brazilian Energy Efficiency Committee from 2009 to 2016. Since 2018, she is a Collaborating Professor at the Polytechnic School of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, at the Oil Engineering Faculty, as well as a Senior Researcher at Energy Planning Program/COPPE/UFRJ. Jacqueline took part of several consulting projects (having both governmental entities and energy companies as clients), authored two books and has papers published in important scientific reviews. Her main research interests are regulation, environmental impacts of energy policies, plans, programs and projects, energy efficiency and energy models.
