Lynda is an astute economist and an internationally trained lawyer with expertise in matters relating to (but not limited to) Energy Law, Oil & Gas, Data Privacy and Protection, Emerging Technologies, Capital Markets, ESG, Corporate Secretarial and Regulatory Compliance - offering extensive experience across different continents. She specializes in navigating complex regulatory frameworks, risk management, advising on corporate transactions, and ensuring the relevant regulatory compliance. Her work in data protection focuses on digital responsibility, privacy governance, and safeguarding information in accordance with all applicable laws - particularly in significant industries and critical infrastructures with high data sensitivity. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, and a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Hons) from the University of Southampton.
She also holds an LLM in Oil and Gas law from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland - of which she graduated with a Distinction. Also, being a Canadian Certified information Privacy Professional, she is committed to shaping global data security standards, fostering trust amongst stakeholders, maintaining data security and safeguarding personal information while driving innovation - in an increasingly digital world that utilizes new and emerging technologies. Lynda possesses scholarly and applaudable skills in legal research and writing. She has also actively participated in the provision of pro-bono legal services to Canadian Organizations, with the aim of providing access to justice for all. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, Canadian Bar Association, and the Nigerian Bar Association.
