Bede Nwete has LL.M (Distinction in all courses) from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee, UK with specialization in International Petroleum Taxation and Finance. Mr. Nwete a former staff of PWC provides consultancy, legal and business/commercial advisory services in oil and gas contract negotiations, reviewing and drafting, and has been involved in the negotiation, reviewing and drafting of various contracts in the international oil and gas industry. He worked with Schlumberger Oilfield UK Plc as North Sea Geo-Market Supply Chain Contracts Manager, and presently works as the North Sea PSCM Decommissioning Manager for BP Exploration Operating Company.
Mr. Nwete, who won the 2004 Association of International Petroleum Negotiators' (AIPN) writing prize, the 2005 Laszlo Gombos prize of the CEPMLP, and the Steve Weston 2008 prize, has published several oil and gas related articles in various journals. He has also edited oil and gas journals and spoken at various international oil and gas conferences. Mr. Nwete has been a guest lecturer at the CEPMLP and has also worked in the area of Downstream Energy Law and Policy under the Distance Learning Programme of the CEPMLP. He is a member of Standard & Poors (Vista Research) Society of Industry (Oil and Gas) Leaders, the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, and Society of Legal Scholars, UK.
