About ERM Energy & Climate Change
ERM works worldwide with a range of organisations to identify impacts, risks and opportunities related to greenhouse gas emission constraints and new carbon trading regimes. ERM has an extensive list of major corporate and government clients for climate change services in a range of sectors and service areas. Currently, ERM is playing a leading role in the implementation of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme Directive in number of Member States, through our network of European offices. Through ERM's WHETHER suite of modelling analysis, we are at the forefront of providing advice on how future carbon markets might emerge under a range of different scenarios. Throughout our global network of offices, we are actively identifying and evaluating greenhouse gas emission reduction projects in Latin America, Asia and Africa and elsewhere for their carbon credit potential. We have also assisted with several multinational corporations in developing screening tools for identifying carbon credit opportunities in their portfolio of assets. ERM is active in advising developing country governments on defining their domestic programmes for CDM and climate change. ERM provides advice to a range of stakeholders on adaptation for climate change and has been active in providing risk assessment and adaptation plans for weather related events, development of community based adaptation strategies, and policy development for governments and donors on adaptation mechanisms.
