Fiona Woolf has taken a leading role of a variety of different privatisations and restructurings, regulation and projects in the electricity, gas and water sectors. She is extremely well known for her work on nearly all of the major restructurings and privatisations of the power sector and has established a reputation that is unique. She has advised over 25 governments on reform, strategy and privatisations.
Fiona Woolf led a team of 40 lawyers that represented the National Grid Company plc on its creation and subsequent privatisation in England and Wales. She has worked on the implementation of electricity privatisations, restructurings and projects in Argentina, Northern Ireland, India, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Victoria (Australia), the Republic of Ireland, Ontario, South Africa, Mexico, Russia, Thailand and the six central American countries. She is one of the few lawyers that has been appointed by governments as a project director or manager.
