INTRODUCTION
Petitioner respectfully seeks recognition and enforcement of an arbitration award pursuant to 22 U.S.C. § 1650a and Article 54 of the Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of Other States, Mar. 18, 1965, 17 U.S.T. 1270, 575 U.N.T.S. 159 (the "ICSID Convention"). The arbitration award (the "Award") was rendered on May 30, 2025, against Respondent, the Argentine Republic ("Argentina"), following an arbitration (the "Arbitration") under the ICSID Convention and the arbitration rules of the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes ("ICSID"). In the Award, the arbitral tribunal ("Tribunal") found that Argentina had breached its obligations to Petitioner under the Treaty Between the United States of America and the Argentine Republic Concerning the Reciprocal Encouragement and Protection of Investment of November 14, 1991 ("Argentina-U.S. BIT"), and awarded Petitioner over $732 million in damages and costs, with interest.
